Running in GvG matches
While I was watching Evil in the seasonal finals. I noticed while obseving Last Of The Master, that he continuously skips while running. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it a glitch in observer mode, or is there something I am not aware off.
Any help on this would be great!!

He taps strafe L/R while he runs, just enough to get an effect on the animation. Why? Boredom perhaps. Mystery solved.

TY for the responces. I watched the match again and the whole team does it all the time, even while fighting. I also thought it was something he was doin for the heck of it, but now I'm not so sure.

This goes along with my theory that many of the players on evil or WM are bots. They skip run all the time. They heal sig with full health all the time. Sometiems they sit and chain heal signet at full health for no reason. Everything they do is goofy, sometiems they will run up to a person swing once or most often 0 times then switch targets and do teh same thing over and over again, running around doing literally nothing. sometimes they will go up to an NPC and stop halfway there turn back go up again turn back use heal signet then attack. Tons of stuff like that, watch them someteims its absolutely rediculous
another really odd thing about evil is they pretty much are just in stall mode for the majority of their matches. They wont kill anything for like 20 minutes then as soon as something happens, they lose a guy, moral boost, push, VOD, they will all of a sudden just kill like 4 people at will. Its like they are toying with people.

Sarcasm, perhaps? I have seen them use a healing sig at 9/10s health, but that's no reason to call them a bot. The logic behind this would say that they want to stay at full health in order to avoid being spiked. The WM/iB/EvIL matches last so long without anyone being killed is because they are just THAT good. They are so evenly matched, the other team kills someone only when someone makes a mistake. The match is blown open once everyone accumulates dp.
EDIT: Spelling error =D

often times the heal sigging is done when there is no danger of being spiked, such as not playing against a spike team.
also i have watched many evil matches, pay attention. People usually start dieing at some turning point, not ever at regular intervals.
yes this is partly in jest however a lot of circumstantial evidence of odd details kinda add up to something wierd. I still say evil is toying with poeple most of the time.

I wouldn't altogether discount this, although certainly not in important matches. (Te-EviL game 2 happened a bit like you said)
I healing signet at full health, am I a bot? Casting it all the way is better than tapping 7-esc repeatedly so that everyones screen lags from all the sprites above your head.

Some of them use mouse movement which creates that stuttering effect sometimes.

Nice theories everyone. But back on topic . Is this a glitch in obsever mode or are they reay doin this on purpose. I guess the questions I'm askin is if they are realy doin this on purpose? what else do they know that we don't? I remember a post last season where one of the top teams had implied they use an outside program for hot key combo attacks. I am just worried that if they are usin exploits (and there is no proof that they are!!!) it could realy hurt peoples perception on playing GvG.
Aways just wanted to bring to everyones attention, what I noticed. I'm hopein it's just a glitch!!!

I think this pretty much sums it up. If I'm not mistaken, every mouse click to move refreshes the run animation, so they are probably tapping it. ADD or something.

If that is the case and they are tapping the mouse my question is (WHY).
Also after watchin both seasonell final matches, I noticed they all do it, and they do it all the time. Which leads me to beleive that there is a reason.

it is possible that the staggered running is a glitch. I dont know how they stream obs mode, but I have difficulty believing that they stream every frame of a battle which, if I understand correctly, takes place in an individual instance away from their servers. Presumably they are streaming every mouse click and button press and getting your machine to render it locally, but I dont know for sure. If they are, that might explain the stuttering movement that you often see.
As for healing signet, well, i dont play warrior much, but it seems to me that healing signet is best used at >75% health. Certainly using it at less than about 50% health is tantamount to suicide if there is a chance you will take damage during the cast. I found myself during my occasional games as a warrior almost reflex casting it whenever it recharged, without really checking my health bar first, but that may be because I'm a warrior noob, idk. From what you are saying though, even the best warriors seem to do the same. It is possible again though that even though their health shows as max in obs mode that it shows differently for them in game, as health bars seem a little unreliable. We have often had people apparently degening at an alarming rate when actually they are perfectly healthy, and I guess everyone knows not to rely on their GL's health bar as being accurate.
And EviL and WM are bots? I'm suprised that the guys who went to Taipei didnt comment on this, as I am sure it would have struck them as odd.

The glitching around issue has been answered, and as to them being bots, if you can't decide on your own whether or not EvIL are bots, you should probably uninstall Guild Wars. They aren't bots.
As for exploits, if they are using exploits, the burden of proof is on the accuser to prove that they are exploiting. EvIL doesn't have to prove anything. Plus, there's the fact that during the 2005 GWWC, they were on computers that were in an environment controlled by ArenaNet. Show some evidence; otherwise, your accusation is baseless libel.
